At Ahtesaab, we believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to receive quality education in a safe and well-equipped learning environment. Unfortunately, many BNCMC (Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation) school buildings were in a dilapidated state, with some on the verge of collapse, posing a serious risk to students and teachers.
What We Did?
Identified school buildings which were in dilapidated condition.
Picked the schools which required urgent renovation.
Renovated BNCMC school no. 22 & 62 and provided the best infrastructure which includes a library, 3 science labs, computer lab and a multipurpose turf.
SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE AND OTHER PROGRAMS
Condition of public schools of BNCMC (Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation) are in very poor condition. Few schools do not have basic facility of fan, light, benches, computer tables and chairs. We have provided school infrastructure to 5 BNCMC schools till now.
- Provided computer lab and other material to BNCMC school no. 84, 98 and 99.
- Eye checkup camp conducted for 424 students in BNCMC schools
- Distribution of 306 pairs of quality running shoes to motivate students to attend school every day and to teach them the importance of schooling.
- 80,000 books distributed to 19,451
- students in 67 BNCMC Schools

Innovative Learning Space
For many students in Bhiwandi, the lack of study space at home and constant distractions from the environment made it difficult to focus on their education. This challenge led to setbacks, especially for aspiring students preparing for exams.
How We Addressed the Issue
✅ Identified a central location with easy access to public transport, ensuring students could reach the facility conveniently.
✅ Established a dedicated study centre, providing a quiet and structured environment for uninterrupted learning.
- Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Astronomy Lab:
The Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Astronomy Centre, an initiative by Ahtesaab Foundation, aims to provide hands-on astronomy education for students in Bhiwandi. Unlike Mumbai’s Nehru Planetarium, Bhiwandi lacks accessible astronomy facilities, limiting students’ exposure to space science.
This Centre bridges that gap by offering interactive workshops, demonstrations, and sessions that make complex topics like planetary motion and star formation easier to understand. It fosters scientific thinking and inspires students to pursue careers in space sciences.
Located behind BNCMC School 84, the Centre will be open to public and private schools by appointment.
